Kurama's eyes fluttered open. The soft chirr of tree frogs calling for their mates, echoing through the thick evening air, could just be heard, as the redhead's eyes adjusted to the darkness. He looked around the bedroom somewhat bewildered; perhaps he was still sleeping, he thought. But then he heard Hiei chuckling, which in itself was reason enough to wake up. He turned his head and saw the Koorime lying on his side, head propped up on an elbow, grinning wickedly down at him.
"What?" Kurama asked, a little breathless. He felt suddenly very tired, like he'd just done some physical labor that exhausted him.
"You really don't know, do you?" Hiei observed, running his finger along Kurama's damp nose. How did his nose get damp? Why was he perspiring so much? And why wasn't Hiei as sweaty as Kurama?
"What's going on? What happened?" Kurama asked, swallowing hard, suddenly a bit uncomfortable with Hiei knowing some secret that he didn't.
"You 'foxed out' on me again."
"I what?"
"You 'foxed out' on me. That's what I call it, when you do what you just did to me."
"C'mon, Hiei. Quit joking around. What are you talking about?" Kurama asked, now somewhat annoyed. He rolled onto his side, also propping himself up on an elbow, and frowned at his lover.
"Your youko side snuck out for a visit tonight while you were sleeping, kitsune. I call it 'foxing out.'"
"Oh," the confused redhead said. "Okay, what happens to me when I 'fox out?'"
"It's not so much what happens to you, fox. It's more what happens to me."
Kurama's raised his eyebrows as he stared at the fire demon. He then squinted in the dim light and studied Hiei's features, which were still held in a teasing smile.
"What are you talking about, koibito?"
"Well, when you're really deeply asleep, I hear you start to moan. Then I see your eyes dart around under the lids like you're looking for something or someone." Hiei ran a finger along Kurama's eye lid, accentuating the point.
"Then, your hands start to reach for me. Well, at least I think it's me you're reaching for, and you pull me close." Kurama frowned, tilting his head.
"Next," the fire demon continued, "you start kissing me."
"Oooh, I like this part," Kurama said, with a big smile. He rolled over onto his stomach and rested his head on his folded hands, emerald gems still looking deeply into Hiei's sparkling crimson eyes.
"Just wait, kitsune, it gets better," Hiei smirked. "After you start kissing me, you begin to lick my face, a whole lot, and you nuzzle your nose against mine." Kurama made a funny, confused expression, still trying to understand what happened to him. "Then, you start to pant. I mean, really pant!" Hiei said, rolling onto his back, pushing the spiky starburst away from his face. He shook his head and started to laugh again. Kurama propped himself up on his elbows and stared down at his amused lover.
"Then what do I do?"
"Next?" Hiei said, twinkle in his eye, grin on his face. "Next, you flip me over onto my stomach and screw me like there's no tomorrow."
Kurama's eyes widened in shock. "I what?!?" he gulped.
"You heard me, kitsune. You lift up my hips, take aim, and go at it like you're gonna' screw my brains out or something." Kurama gasped, then hid his face in his pillow.
"Oh, my Gods," Kurama moaned, his voice muffled by the material. "I don't believe this!"
Hiei smiled, looking at his lover. "Well, it's true, fox. Look." The Koorime lifted up a few long silver strands of hair from his shoulder. Kurama looked up, stared at the evidence, and moaned again, burying his face into his pillow once more.
"Hey, it's not like you're trying to be mean, kitsune," Hiei offered.
"Gods, Hiei!" Kurama looked up from the pillow, his cheeks beet red, eyes full of anxiety. "I...I raped you. And I didn't even know it!"
"No, now wait a minute," Hiei rolled onto his side again, trying to lift Kurama's face. "Rape would mean I didn't consent to it, and I never said that, did I?"
"When someone forces himself on another person....."
"I didn't say you forced yourself on me, fox. I just said we had...interesting sex."
"Oh, c'mon, Hiei. I took advantage of you while I was...I was...what did you say I was?"
"Foxed out."
"Yeah. That. Doesn't that bother you?" Kurama dared to look into his lover's eyes, searching for an answer.
"As a matter of fact, I find it very amusing," Hiei replied. "I'm kinda' getting used to it."
"Used to it? What do you mean, used to it? How often has this happened?" Kurama sat up, looking down at the little fire demon, whose expression was still quite smug.
"Umm....twice..."
"Gods, twice," Kurama moaned, as he closed his eyes, rubbing his forehead.
"....this week."
"This week?!?! How many times has this happened?" Kurama stared at Hiei in disbelief.
Hiei scrunched up an eye and looked up at the ceiling.
"Well?!?"
"Shh! I'm thinking!" Hiei reprimanded his totally bemused lover. "Actually, I lost count after the first month."
Kurama moaned in pain, fell back onto his pillow, and covered his face with his hands. Hiei snorted a laugh, then straddled Kurama about the hips, pulling his hands away.
"Kurama," Hiei began, holding the fox's hands in his own, sliding back onto his lover's thighs for a better view of the kitsune's body. "Did I say I didn't like it? I only meant that I find it interesting that your youko personality comes through at the oddest moments. It's just funny that you're asleep when it happens." Hiei lifted himself off of his lover and lay back down on his side.
Kurama inhaled deeply and let out a long sigh, some of his embarrassment wearing away. "I've heard of sleepwalking, koibito, never sleepfu..."
Hiei silenced his redhead with a juicy kiss.
"Well, I don't think you should worry about it, kitsune. Maybe it's a phase you'll outgrow," Hiei explained, suppressing another chuckle. He found the whole situation quite amusing.
Kurama sighed again, snuggling up to the Koorime, as Hiei reached around to cover them with the thin bedsheet. "Next time this happens, koibito, I think you should wake me up. I'd hate to miss out on so much fun." Kurama nestled into Hiei's chest. "You will wake me, won't you?" Hiei remained very silent. Kurama looked up into his lover's smiling face. "Won't you?"
"Shh," Hiei whispered. "I'm thinking...."
